Should you decide to leave us for any reason, please understand that this is a serious decision, and any requests to return once a member has left will be considered by the Council for approval. The reason for this is to protect the integrity of our Community, and prevent it from being used as a revolving door for players to come and go as it suits their personal needs. If players were permitted to exit and return any time they felt inclined to do so, it undermines the concept of working with the Community and investing time and energy to help it evolve into a comfortable home we can be proud of having built together.

That said, if a player has reflected on the concept for a reasonable period of time and spoken with one of our Council, we definitely wouldn't wish an individual to remain if they don't quite feel connected for any reason – life is permanently drawing them away from gaming, they're looking for something completely different/are involved elsewhere, or they don't feel they have the time to invest in community and friendship building. Whatever the reason may be, we only ask that you speak to a Council member before departure.

 

What we certainly do not wish to happen is for players to leave a “token character” in the community as a foothold, and attempt to “fade out” or gradually no longer participate. If an individual feels that it simply isn't a good fit and does not wish to pursue an open dialogue for areas of change, please know that while you will be missed, we will give you a most respectful adieu and sincerely hope that you will still keep in touch with us as a friend. Should you depart from the community, we are still absolutely delighted to continue writing and attending events with you!
